Hi! My name is Lisa Lucas. My husband Jackson & I created this webpage to share our interests, and our furry family with you. Here you will find out more about us, our 2 basset hounds, our 2 cats, why basset rescue is important to us, and how you can help a homeless hound!
Jackson & I were married March 3rd, 2001. We reside in Hilton, NY, which is a suburb of Rochester. One of our passions is our love for animals. We currently have 4 that are ours, Arnold (rescue basset hound), Lady Bea (rescue basset hound), Lynx (rescue cat) and Neber (cat). They are all very important members of our family, that we want to share with you. I am the Foster Coordinator for a ABC Basset Hound Rescue, Inc, which is and organization dedicated to finding abused, abandoned and owner-relinquished basset hounds a second chance forever homes. That means an extra dog or two is usually part of our pack, until a new home can be found. Currently we have Duchess who is a sweet 6-7 year old Tri-Color female. She came into animal control as a stray, and was pulled from the shelter on what was to be the last day of her life. Duchess is a phenomenal dog, who even has a few tricks up her sleeve! To learn more about Duchess, please visit our featured fosters page, or ABC's website at www.nybasset.org.
